every once in a while its worth looking beyond the 'one hit wonder' thing.
 i was VERY surprised as to how good it was after hearing the hit single and only the hit single for the last many years.
when i first heard "teenage dirtbag"  i thought..."my god, the rest of the album must sound like total shit...good thing they lucked out with a somewhat relatable single"....but i was wrong...
wheatus did it well
and they were wicked underrated (known)

i really didn't appreciate this album nearly as much 13 years ago as i do now.

the title does not actually appear anywhere on the CD due to trademark law restrictions; instead, scrambled versions of the title are used.  i've listed it here under the actual unscrambled title.

precious death - "precious death" (1996 metro one)

The third and final album from precious death. this was an unexpected release in some ways, as Blackball was already touring and had released their first excellent album.

It's more like a heavier version of Chris Scott's other band, Blackball. Blackball is wonderful, definitely...but "different" Speaking of Chris Scott, he had a very interesting vocal style; almost like a male version of Cher crossed with Eric AK from Flotsam & Jetsam. (ed: the last bit about the flotsam thing i'm not sure of, but he DOES have a unique vocal style)

also included here are the cd only bonus (hidden) tracks. one of which is a VERY strange cover of no doubt's 'spiderwebs'. fun fun fun
