one of my more cherished cassettes from yesteryear...

 Timingila had this tape released and distributed by o.g.a. (oral gestation artefacts) in the mid 90's. credits: Electronics – John Wiese

the tape consists of some very interesting experimental recordings, some of which with more industrial leanings, strange but very enjoyable imho.

anyway, check it out...there is absolutely nothing to be found about this on the web thus far which is quite unfortunate. (at least as far as i can tell)

*my two cents:  when i first bought this album(their final album as it turned out) i was a bit disappointed. the overall tone was 'lighter' than was my fave metanoia stuff from the earlier days...so i judged.  the music was more experimental, throwing in elements of groove, punk, black, death, spoken vocals, thrash, and even a little tiny touch of rapcore(DID NOT WORK, but good on 'em for trying) to their metal stew...again i judged.  overall i walked away with a more negative impression of the album that it deserves...tracks like (ironically titled?) 'judge me not' are a perfect example (really, this track is tremendously horrid).  after re-listening some before these posts its clear to me now that tracks like 'judge me not' are very much akin to the proverbial 'rotten apple' that spoils the barrel.  there is a ton of great material on this album, unfortunately the duds really stand out.  so yeah...this isn't early metanoia, but it isn't as shit as the couple of duds on the album, don't let those couple of horrible tracks taint the entire project like i did. then again, hey, that's just my two cents*

kekal / slechtvalk - "chaos & warfare" (2002 Fear Dark)

kekal by this point had started to incorporate a more experimental touch.
both bands contribute 1 cover song each...excellent choices both.
trouble(esp.) and antestor both being, hands down, some of the best metal past.

Horde - "hellig usvart (10 year anniversary reissue)" (2004 rowe productions)

i bought the original release of this back in '94 and dug it. strangely i dig it way more now.
what is particularly nice about this 10 year anniversary reissue is that it includes a bonus track 'mine heart doth beseech thee', which originally appeared on a compilation when horde was going as 'beheadoth'.  fuck black metal (or the silly unblack in this case), but this bonus track has always been a fave of mine, no matter the genre.
'hellig usvart' was reissued yet again a couple of years ago with some tracks from the 'live in oslo' cd added on, but missing the beheadoth track..and quite honestly its better to have the entire live in oslo cd by itself.  enjoy.
